Introduction: Breast cancer is a disease that causes numerous side effects due to the aggressiveness of its treatment, which results in functional losses. These effects directly affect adherence to treatment and the quality of life of the affected individual. Objectives: Identify the effectiveness of integrative practices, such as auricular electrical stimulation and acupuncture, with the aim of reducing the side effects caused by breast cancer and its aggressive pharmacological treatment. Methods: The study presented an integrative literature review, a method that seeks to synthesize research results on a topic or issue, in a systematic and comprehensive way. Results: There was a notable improvement in the symptoms of insomnia, fatigue, pain, anxiety and depression in these women undergoing integrative acupuncture therapy using auricular electrical stimulation. Final Considerations: More research is needed to elucidate the main mechanisms involved in acupuncture, for safe and effective application in clinical practice and better adherence to cancer patient treatment.
