THE PERFORMANCE OF THE GUARDIANSHIP COUNCIL IN THE MUNICIPAL SCHOOL SYSTEM IN JOINVILLE/SC

Abstract
The research has as theme The Action of the Guardianship Council in Education, its general objective is to present the process of complaints, sent from schools to the Guardianship Council, in order to protect the rights of children and adolescents. The research problem was defined as: How does the Tutelary Council act in the Joinville Municipal Schools? In the theoretical foundation, the article describes about the rights of children and adolescents and about the relations between the School and the Tutelary Council. This research is theoretically based on the works of Brazil (1990), Paes (2013), Mendes (2010), Lopes E Ferreira (2010), Conanda (2010) and others. Referring to the research methodology, it characterizes as descriptive and field research. The data collection instrument was a form with 14 questions, and the research subjects, 2 educational counselors and 2 tutelary counselors. With the research it was possible to observe that a partnership relationship between the School and the Guardian Council is extremely important to achieve the guarantee of the essential rights of children and adolescents, and the executive power is the subject that can bring improvements to this relationship.
