Abstract

ABSTRACT: This article addresses the results of research that focused on the contribution of the school supervisor in the teaching and learning process in Inclusive Special Education. To this end, two specific objectives were outlined. The first was to analyze the supervisor's work with his teaching team, and the second was to identify to what extent the supervisor's actions have contributed to the quality of teaching of inclusive special education students. In the academic balance carried out on the SciELO and ANPEd website, it was possible to perceive that the subject in focus is not a researched topic. A fact that meant an additional motivation to debate the topic. The main authors who supported the discussion were Demerval Saviani, Raquel Mara, Gabriela Alias, Lucia Gusson Aguiar, Vera Maria Nigro de Souza Placco, Vera Lucia Trevissan de Souza, Mary Rangel. Then, a case study was carried out that had E.M. João Bernardino da Silveira Junior, from the municipal network in Joinville, Santa Catarina and as a subject of the research the Supervisor of the school. For data collection, an interview with the professional was used to seek elements that would answer the research question. The data collected indicate that the supervisor understands the importance of her work in inclusive special education, but ends up only monitoring the work of the Specialized Educational Service professional with the teachers.
