The presentation reflects on interfaces between ATHIS – Technical Assistance in Social Interest Housing – and public health, with the aim of providing subsidies for the inclusion of housing and socio-environmental indicators in the SUS National Health Promotion Policy. To this end, it is divided into two moments. In the first, we review national and international health data and references, linked to housing, which show us to what extent housing and urban precariousness impacts the well-being of families. In the second moment, we analyze cases whose initiatives advance in intersectoral terms: 1) Interventions in Favelas; 2) Institute of Architects of Brazil – IAB/Maringá and training of health agents; 3) Data provided by UN Habitat for Humanity International; and 4) The UN Habitat for Humanity Brazil WASH Program. In terms of considerations, we identify possible ways to implement these as public policies.
