Abstract

Dear readers,
It is with a profound sense of urgency and social relevance that we present volume 1, no. 1 (2025) of Monumenta: Journal of Interdisciplinary Studies (Special Edition – August Lilac), entirely dedicated to the complex and persistent challenge of confronting domestic and family violence against women. In this edition, we also intend to celebrate the fifth anniversary of CerNemape – Maria da Penha Reference Center and Extension Nucleus of the Associação Catarinense de Ensino - ACE, Joinville/SC, a milestone that motivates us to deepen the discussion on women's protection and health.
