As políticas públicas acerca dos espaços naturais no município de Joinville e seus usos indicativos: uma breve discussão
Abstract
The practice of rethinking urban planning is an increasingly interdisciplinary area, as thinking about cities today involves several aspects that go far beyond technical proposals of a purely economic nature. Thus, many of these new strands of discussion, such as geography, biology and psychology, indicate the qualitative loss of this environment and come to suggest the conservation and use of green spaces in cities as an important public policy instrument, which would be responsible not only for contributing to the preservation of the natural environment, but that would act directly on the health and well-being of a population, as studies point out the contact with the natural environment, as a kind of pill for several health problems. In this context, it was found that the municipality of Joinville, despite covering nine Conservation Units - seven of which under its direct administration -, has presented major gaps in the management of these areas, which also implies the little recognition and incipient use that the population makes them, which results in a cyclical relationship of abandonment and disuse. Thus, there is a need to promote the debate on its use and to raise awareness of the population to harmonious coexistence with nature in relation to health and environmental sustainability.
