Keywords:
Parents, Family, Depression, Adolescents
Abstract
The aim of this study was to present an integrative review of national and international scientific literature on the family context and depression in adolescence. Depression is understood by the Cognitive Behavioral Theory, as a distorted view that the subject has of himself, the world and the future, triggering various cognitive errors in the interpretation of himself and the world. For this study, articles were selected based on the keywords: Adolescents, Depression, Parents and Family. With a final sample of 10 articles. The articles were published in the CAPES, SCIELO and LILACS Portal databases, all published between 2010 and 2020. In general, the articles are exploratory and quantitative and were developed from an average sample of 300 adolescents aged 12 to 18 years. It is observed that the topic addressed has become of scientific interest only in recent years, so there are few studies that address the topic. Therefore, the development of new studies is suggested, in order to explore all the nuances of the topic addressed
