Abstract
The need for school modernization has been discussed for a long time, since the current model is much more linked to a 20th century model of learning and coexistence. Considering, then, the need to observe and question the traditional school model still in vogue, it was seen as opportune to discuss how the implementation of the New High School has been, since the proposal promises to be consistent with contemporaneity, where curricular flexibility must ensure the student's protagonism when choosing his training path. Thus, a Systematic Literature Review was carried out, with the objective of raising the characteristics, complicating elements, potentiating elements and perceptions of the projects being implemented in this sense - after approval by the BNCC of High School (BRASIL, 2018). The few studies found - due to the brevity of the process - point out problems that, due to the Brazilian tradition of lack of physical and human infrastructure, were already expected, however, the fact that elements such as dialogicity, democratic management, discussion with the school community , among others of the kind, are still so far from school practice, which implies great controversy in relation to what is proposed by the guiding documents.
