This article aims to investigate the phenomenon of stalking against women and to analyze the possibility of using Emergency Protective Measures as an instrument of protection and legal safeguard for victims. It seeks to determine whether the Emergency Protective Measures granted to women victims of stalking are effective mechanisms of protection. The research adopts a systematic literature review methodology, based on the analysis of articles published in Portuguese between 2019 and 2022. The handsearch technique was applied to compile studies available in the LILACS, SciELO Brasil, and Google Scholar databases, using the descriptors “stalking” and “protective measure.” As a result, 27 publications were identified in Brazil, and after applying exclusion criteria, only two articles remained for final analysis. The findings reveal a scarcity of research on the subject and the consequent invisibility of the suffering experienced by women victims of persecution. It is concluded that further academic studies are needed, as well as the strengthening of support networks to enhance the effectiveness of Emergency Protective Measures in addressing stalking.
