This study aimed to conduct an integrative review of Portuguese-language literature published over the past ten years (2015–2025) in order to identify the scientific production related to Schema Therapy within the context of psychotherapy in Psychology with children and adolescents. Schema Therapy, developed by Jeffrey Young, examines the interaction between temperament and basic emotional needs in childhood, focusing on the identification and weakening of maladaptive schemas. Nine studies that met the inclusion and exclusion criteria were selected from the PubMed, BVS, PePsic, CAPES, and Oasis databases. The analysis process resulted in the identification of three categories that addressed the specific objectives and supported the central research question. It was possible to map the structural foundations of the intervention protocol, highlighting the techniques and theoretical framework, as well as the active role of parents or caregivers throughout the process. Due to the limited number of studies found, it is concluded that the topic remains underexplored in Brazilian psychology, especially when compared to other therapeutic approaches, even though child psychotherapy has been gaining momentum in recent years. Despite the small number of studies, the results indicated promising research in the field, supported by consistent theoretical, methodological, and intervention-based contributions, reinforcing the importance of further studies on this topic in Brazil.
