Abstract
This article aimed to identify symbolic violence in secondary education in the city of Joinville and the state of mental health of young people. Through a questionnaire applied to 55 students, in the five current classes of the year, all in the third year or in high school, inside a public school in the city of Joinville, it is possible to identify the different faces that this violence can have, and how Is it over there. has been practiced in the school space. It was also observed how the mental health of this group and how the school environment can be linked to it. It is concluded that he assumes several practices of violence within Joinville schools, where two young people are often asked for help and not heard, and at other times they are not seen as violence, and some practices are even standardized for them. In addition, I have observed a weakness in the mental health of the same two, with different symptoms of illness in the same situations involving self-mutilation and suicidal ideation.
